  Really random... wisdom teeth

  i'm kind of freaking out because i'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled in a few weeks.

  two of them are completely impacted, and one is partially impacted.

  fortunately, they're not oddly aligned.

  I had 3 pulled at once. Had to have stitches etc. I too went to work next day, two black eyes and mildly swollen neck but not too bad. The attention was lovely!

  Third day was agony and my jaw locked completely. The swelling continued and I was so ill I could not even keep water down. Vomiting was excruciatingly painful. I vegetated and dribbled for about 3 days.

  It took a good week for me to feel human again and for my jaw to start to release. I lost over 10 pounds in weight altogether.

  I hope your extractions go better than mine.

  the stores manager, who didnt give his name, said the book had been sold out for some time, and the stores owner, whom the manager identified as shamim ahmad, refused to comment for the story.. .

  I witnessed many burnt women and babies who risked their lives fleeing violent men by setting sail in unseaworthy vessels. They were trying to escape to Europe via The Canary Islands.

  Although the stretch of water between Africa and us was only 90 K it took 9 days relying on tides and currents and it is estimated 50% of those people trying to get across die.

  Recognition of how we have been manipulated is an excellent first step. Hardest is finding out how to respond without feeling guilt or fear or recognising not everyone is out to manipulate us.

  A narcissitic mother, an abusive husband, conversion into a high mind control cult and then being attcked in my own home by a masked intruder has left me fearful of people and the outside world. I always feel "not good enough".

  Three years on I take 2 steps forward and 1 step back and am back on meds again. Articles like this really help me see there are many ways people and society manipulate us and knowledge like this is empowering in helping people like me take those steps. I always felt I had to make myself into what other people wanted me to be and not be who I actually was.

  Why doesn't the WT close the religion?

  i was pondering the other day, why the watchtower corporation doesn't just sell off all the kingdom halls and hang the jws out to dry seeing they make far more $$$ from business than peddling the religion these days.. then it dawned on me... they need to keep that little sideline going for the tax breaks!.

  I think they will go more mainstream, even keeping door to door work similar to the mormons but I don't think they will be able to rule with the same voracity.

  I remember some-one once saying that the Catholic idea of hell was no longer as hot as it once used to be. Armagedddon will just be an event in the future but with not quite the destructive force that was once taught.

  States of hypnosis - getting people to face facts

  was looking at hypnosis ( always wondered why it works so well on some people - not because i want to convince everyone i meet to be my slaves - honestly ;) ) and i read something that stopped me in my tracks.

  the articles author stated that most of the time we are in a state of hypnosis which is no more than our automated systems taking over from our conscious ones for example, when we drive home and realise we didn't think too hard about driving we just 'arrive home' we are in a mild hypnotic state; when we get immersed in a movie and lose our sense of where we are we are in a suggestible world where we potentially get moved by what we see etc.

  all these are indicators of our conscious self focusing in such a way that our actual behaviours are handed over to our sub-conscious brain which is also our long term learning process.

  Cantleave got manipulated by Derren Brown 10 days ago at one of his shows and so did my daughter.

  On stage she picked out 4 numbers randomly from a table full of numbered cubes and when she popped the balloon she had grabbed earlier the numbers she had picked from the table corresponded exactly with the numbers on a folded ticket inside the balloon. If that can be done in full view of over 2000 people imagine what can be done covertly.
